Golden Week is crowded everywhere, so splitting firewood is the best!

今日はいい天気で新緑も山も綺麗。
薪集め日和でした！今日一日の回収で、一冬越せるんじゃないかな。薪ストーブのコスパは、良いんです（笑）
身体が薪割りに慣れるまで、薪割り道具揃うまで、薪ストーブ買うまでのハードルは高いんだろうけど。
貯金なんかするよりこのご時世、良い投資じゃないかと思うんだ。

The weather was lovely today, and the fresh green leaves and mountains looked beautiful.
It was a perfect day to gather firewood! What I brought home today might get us through one whole winter. A wood stove is cost-effective (笑).
Getting used to splitting wood, finding the right tools, and buying a stove can all feel like big hurdles. But these days, I think it’s a better investment than just leaving money in savings.

雨の日は薪ストーブで、冬の電気代は月4,800円

大雨ですねー！外仕事は何もできない。
そして寒いので薪ストーブで暖を取る。
今年の冬は灯油をほとんど使わず過ごせた。エアコンももちろんいらないので電気代は今の時代にびっくりの月4800円です。
そしてこのmoki製作所のilaはコンパクトですぐにあったかくなるので朝でがけに炊いてもスピーディかつ十分な暖かさ。
生活に便利な信濃の薪ストーブ、オススメです。

It’s pouring, so I can’t do any outdoor work.
It’s cold, so I’m keeping warm with the wood stove.
I got through this winter using hardly any kerosene. I don’t need the air conditioner either, so my electricity bill is an amazing ¥4,800 a month in this day and age.
This Moki Manufacturing “ila” stove is compact and heats up quickly, so even when I light it before heading out in the morning, it warms the room quickly and sufficiently.
I recommend Shinano wood stoves for comfortable everyday living.

土蔵の屋根修復完了 — スキー工房づくり

春分の日
ずっと棟が変形していた土蔵の屋根の修復が完了。
電気工事新設の打ち合わせもできて、工房へとひとつひとつ。
土蔵にあった物の整理もして、周辺の落ち葉の掃除もできた。
スキー板作りをする環境を作る作業も今年でなんとか完成できるといいなー
創造の種一粒が万倍にも実るイメージで、たくさんの人と出逢って、この土蔵が活用されたら嬉しい！

Spring Equinox.
The repair of the storehouse roof, whose ridge had been deformed for a long time, is complete.
We also discussed installing new electrical wiring, moving one step at a time toward the workshop.
I sorted through the things stored in the kura and cleared the fallen leaves around it.
I hope we can finish creating a space for making skis this year.
I’d be happy if this storehouse could be put to use and bring many people together, like a single seed of creativity growing into ten thousandfold abundance!

土蔵アトリエの改修がスタート

こんにちは！
春ですね。花粉にやられながら土蔵の改修が始まりました。
明かり取りの窓と搬入口をつけてもらいます。
土蔵アトリエになればいいな
ようやっと長年の念願だった土蔵の木工房ができると思うとワクワクします。
家のハーフビルド新築から数えると中の片付けや木材の整理利用などなどマイペースに10年以上かかってしまった（笑）
あれから比べると随分体力気力も落ちたもんだ。
この場所でスキー板の木材加工を主に作業をしていきます。
当然なかなかお金にならない取り組みなので、生業をこなしながらの仕事となり、これからも牛歩の歩みではありますが、できるタイミングで全力投球は変わらずマイペースに頑張りますよん

Hello!
Spring is here. Renovation of the storehouse has begun, even as pollen is getting to me.
We’re having a window for natural light and an entrance for moving things installed.
I hope this will become a storehouse atelier.
I’m excited that I can finally make the woodworking shop in the kura that I’ve wanted for so many years.
Counting from building our half-built home, it has taken me more than ten years, at my own pace, to sort the interior and organize and reuse the lumber (笑).
Compared with back then, I’ve lost quite a bit of stamina and energy.
I’ll mainly be processing wood for ski making here.
This project won’t bring in much money, of course, so I’ll keep working at my livelihood while moving forward at a snail’s pace. When the time is right, I’ll still give it everything, and keep going at my own pace!

今シーズンは32日滑走！テレマークスキーは世界語

おはようございます。
久しぶりの投稿です。
今年は滑りまくってます！
何日滑れるかと思って日数を数えているんですが32日滑りました！
でも腰が痛いので昨日から療養中です（笑）
来年はほどほどにします。
先日初めて外国の方にテレマークスキーを教えさせてもらいました。
テレマークスキーは世界語ですね！
貴重な機会に恵まれたこと心から感謝します。

Good morning. It’s been a while since I posted.
I’ve been skiing a lot this year! I was counting how many days I could ski, and I’ve made it to 32 days!
But my back hurts, so I’ve been resting since yesterday (笑).
Next year, I’ll take it a little easier.
The other day, for the first time, I had a chance to teach telemark skiing to someone from overseas.
Telemark skiing is a universal language!
I’m truly grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
